Memorial Ride

Team Roaring Mouse Cycles and Third Pillar Racing Team are holding a joint memorial ride this Saturday March 15th, to honor the lives of Kristy Gough and Matt Peterson, our two teammates killed on Steven's Creek Canyon last Sunday while on a training ride. We welcome friends, family, fellow cyclists and all those whose lives have been touched by Matt and Kristy. Our ride will include a visit to the site of the crash site for those to share their memories.

When: Saturday, March 15th

Where: Leaving from Foothill College
12345 El Monte Road,
Los Altos Hills, CA 94022

Time: Meet at 2:30pm, ride by 3:00pm

Length: 30-45 minutes to the crash site. Base pace (mellow), no drop.

Start @ Foothill College (Parking Lot #1, near the football stadium)

Right on Foothill Expressway
Continue on Steven's Creek Canyon

**Press are welcome to attend, however we request respect during our ride. It would mean the most to us if press were to accompany us on their bikes, as we are all cyclists this week.

Memorial Service

A memorial service for Matt Peterson will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 13 at Sports Basement, 1590 Bryant Street in San Francisco. Everyone is welcome to attend - please pass the word along!

We'll Miss You

Our team mate and friend Matt Peterson was struck and killed by a car while on a training ride in Cupertino on Sunday, March 9th, 2008. The team, along with the rest of the cycling community, his family, and those who knew him are devastated and shocked by this unexplainable loss.

The Roaring Mouse Cycles team gathered Sunday night to share memories and express grief over the loss of a close friend. Matt's friends, family, and team would appreciate any kind words you may have. Kristy Gough, Third Pillar cyclist and friend to many Roaring Mouse Cycles team members, was just behind Matt when the crash occurred and eventually succumbed to her injuries after being treated at the hospital.
